The assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) is the heart of Dertel S.r.l.’s production activity. Production technologies: SMT and PTH processes

To meet the increasingly complex needs of the modern electronics industry, our Piedmont facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. We assemble printed circuit boards using the best technologies currently available on the market, easily managing both surface-mount and traditional through-hole assemblies.
In detail, our production processes are divided into two macro-areas:

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) process: we manage the assembly of electronic boards with micrometric components, going down to the 0201 format; we regularly handle complex packages such as BGA, micro BGA, and fine pitch; to ensure perfect soldering free from thermal stress, we use vapor phase reflow soldering, a solution that allows for extremely precise and controlled thermal profiles on any type of circuit; finally, to ensure the total absence of defects, every lot undergoes accurate automated optical inspections (AOI) using Mirtec systems and scrupulous microscopic checks;
PTH (Pin Through Hole) process: the completion of the board with traditional components takes place through wave soldering processes; our IEMME ARIES production lines are equipped to handle both lead-free processing (RoHS compliant) and tin-lead (SnPb) alloy soldering, specifically dedicated to exempt sectors such as military, aerospace, or specialized instrumentation; should the board layout require it, our specialized operators perform high-precision manual rework and soldering.

Maximum flexibility: from labor-only to full-turnkey

We know that every company has its own logistical structure and specific procurement needs. For this reason, our PCB assembly service is designed to offer maximum contractual and operational flexibility. We are structured to support our clients by managing production through three different modes:

labor-only (consignment): the client handles the purchasing and provides us with all the material necessary for assembly, including the bare PCBs and the entire Bill of Materials (BOM); in this case, Dertel concentrates its resources exclusively on labor and the assembly and testing process;
full-turnkey: this is the optimal solution for companies wishing to streamline their purchasing department; Dertel S.r.l. directly handles the acquisition of all material necessary for assembly, interfacing with major official distributors; this option ensures maximum quality, lot traceability, and the convenience of having a single point of contact who takes care of everything, from PCB supply to the finished product;
mixed consignment: a hybrid solution where the material supply is divided based on specific agreements made with the client; for example, the client may decide to provide only the bare PCB or strategic and customized components, leaving us the task of sourcing resistors, capacitors, and common commercial components.
